Guess What 2 Years Have Done?

Almost exactly two years ago Carrington arrived at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth in grave condition.  Her body had already began shutting down and it was very apparent she was in awful shape from years of neglect.  One of the amazing and wonderfully caring doctors who saw to Carrington was Dr. Kennedy, an orthopedic doctor. At first it was thought that Carrington had broken both hips due to the way her legs were but upon examination it was discovered that her hip sockets just never formed due to not bearing any weight.

As time went on and Dr. Kennedy followed Carrington it was thought she would need surgery to release her right leg so she could stand. Her leg would not extend nor go the range of  motion it was supposed to.  Well, with the help of Miss Vicki and many hours of just working with her Carrington's leg began to get better in terms of all the things the doctor wanted.

Yesterday Carrington went in to see Dr. Kennedy for the decision on when to do the surgery.  Imagine how happy we were when Dr. Kennedy came in and told us he no longer saw that surgery was needed.  Carrington's legs and hips had come so far that he was absolutely pleased!  He said he never would have thought two years ago that Carrington would be at this point.  Oh yeah!!!  Go Princess!  This is just one of many amazing doctors on staff at Cook Children's who took such great care of our Princess and still continue to do so!
