For anyone who has grown up with siblings you could share some adventure stories, a few battles that may have broke out between you, and a bond that is often so tight even parents cannot understand. For those who do not have siblings, often times we have a friend who is so close to us they might as well be our sibling.
When children are removed from their family or parents have died, siblings are left clinging to each other for support and safety. Today I have two groups of siblings who only have each other to lean on. They need a family to show them unconditional love and acceptance. They need a home they can open the door to each day and know that once they are inside those 4 walls they are safe. While both groups of children are older that does not lessen their need for love nor does it lessen their value. God created these children to grow up and learn from the safety of a family but that has not been the case for these 4 children. Yes, there are some behavior issues because they have not had anyone to properly show them how to love, forgive, and treat one another with respect. They are scared. Plain and simple. They have endured things we may not know right away but that does not diminish their need to be loved. They may not have the education children their age in America have but that does not mean they cannot and will not catch up if they only had someone to believe in them and encourage them to try. Bottom line is that the next two groups of children are waiting for love, family, hope, and safety.
Rose is believed to have Marfan's syndrome which is a hereditary condition that affects the connective tissue. Individuals with Marfan's are often very tall, have long fingers, and can have heart defects. Rose will need to see a doctor once home to confirm or rule out this diagnosis. She is cognitively on track but does not know how to look to others besides her brother for role models.
Gale tends to show off in order to gain the attention he is so desperately seeking. He needs a mom and dad who will affirm his importance in their life without the need for showing off. A dad who spends time with him will make all the difference in this young boy's life.
James and Amy did not have the start in life that God intended for them to have. They have had a very hard start in their young lives and that has caused them to exhibit behaviors based on survival and lack of trust of others. If a family can just see that what they need is the gentle but firm foundation a family can provide then they will be blessed to watch two children, once broken by the circumstances of their upbringing, blossom into two very loving and vivacious son and daughter. They need to build trust and unconditional love with their family so they can begin to rebuild their beliefs of what a family should be.

Cost of international adoption of 2 children= $25,000 (approx.)
The love of a family= Priceless!!
Money does not provide those things. A family does. Will you be the love, family, hope, and safety for these brothers and sisters?
