God's Wonders of His World

We all have heard of THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THIS WORLD. You know, the original seven wonders included:

The Colossus of Rhodes
The Great Pyramid of Giza
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
The Lighthouse of Alexandria
The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
The Statue of Zeus at Olympia
The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus

This is a list that the Ancient Greeks knew as the most important locales of their world. Since then man has created other "seven wonders of the world" such as Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, etc.. I studied about these places, things so I am familiar with all of them just as most other people are.

But I think we have been missing out on some of the true wonders of God's world.  This is not our world. It is the world God created for us so therefor it is His world.  I have been trying to think of just what makes children with special needs, who are classified as orphans, so different and so important.  Then tonight Brian and I went to see a movie (a very rare occurrence) and as the movie was just about to end it hit me like a ton of bricks.  Wonders.  God's Wonders.  These children, created perfect in God's eyes, created with intent, created with LOVE!  These children are God's Wonders of His World.  So many people see faces worn with such pain, bodies so emaciated and neglected, spirits that have been crushed but God sees a masterpiece. His masterpiece that truly is a wonder to behold.  I would love to stop for just one moment and share with you a few of God's Wonders.  Little precious girls who had been through more in their little lives than anyone should ever have to endure.  Years of neglect both emotionally and physically yet God knew that He created such precious treasures that one day the world would see as such a wonder.  Many people will say "it is a wonder they are still alive" or "it's a wonder they can still manage to smile".  Yes, it is a wonder. But we are not talking a man created or man deemed wonder. We are talking a wonder that God has blessed us all with.  Tonight I aim to write my list of 7 Wonders of My Life and I will put that in my Bible so each night I can thank God for the Wonders He has given to me.

Carrington spent her whole day slumped over in this chair,
never once given any thought as to her value.

Today she shows us all just what a wonder we have been blessed with.

Amelia was so scared, frail, and without love for 11 years.

Today she shines like a flower because her family saw what God intended to be seen
:a pure and natural beauty

Sophia endured 16 years without so much as a glance of
importance.

But today she shines with a smile that is completely priceless.

The most beautiful part of all of this is that there aren't just 7 of God's wonders, but rather there are more than 200,000 of them all over the world just waiting for someone to see what God has known all along: that each child is truly one of God's Wonders of His World!  Take a look on the side of Carrington's Crusade to see just a few of the wonders God has created.
