Day Our Lives Changed-Part 9 Confidentiality??

For anyone working in the adoption world there is a big thing that they all must honor and abide by and it is Confidentiality.  This word can be defined most simply by Webster's as:

intended for or restricted to the use of a particular person, group, or class

It is so big and important that those who work in this field, as well as so many other fields, have to sign an agreement stating that they will not release any information about person or situations to those who have no legal interest in the matter.

Well, once again Shelley B. and a few others who are still hiding behind their organization, violated this.  The funny thing is that Shelley B. has no business whatsoever in our business as we are not even going through AAC for our adoption.  How she got this information (I have figured it out) and why she would be given it opens up to so many other questions.  But that at the moment is not even my issue. What is my issue is that she once again was telling another family, ok so it actually was more than one family, that they should not be associated with our family in any way because we were in bad standing with the Bulgarian government branch who handles adoptions.  First of all, no we were not as our case was out of the MOJ's hands and in the hands of the courts, and second of all how would she know we were in "bad standing" with anyone?  This had gone on long enough so I contacted not only our wonderful agency, CHI but I also contacted any other parties who were tied to this situation.  CHI agreed that enough was enough and Shelley needed to stop this rumor spreading.  It was so good to have an agency who was strong enough to stand up for families. CHI tried repeatedly to contact AAC to request them to stop Shelley's actions and words but was not able to talk to anyone. We started the process immediately to have a cease and desist order drawn up against Shelley and anyone else who was insistant upon slander.

The next thing I was hearing was that CHI was now being trashed by both Amanda and Shelley on the RR forum group.  They were sharing with others that CHI was not ethical and was listing children who were not truly available etc.. Then Andrea R. from Reece's Rainbow chimes in stating that CHI was disorganized with their EE adoptions but oh that they were good with China.  What??  Talk about ethical? Maybe Shelley ought to take a look at her words and her actions.  And why is Andrea criticizing CHI when in fact she is all too happy to list available children whose files are with CHI?  Are we looking at greed once again?  Would it be more profitable for certain people if CHI were made to look bad so families would decide to go with AAC instead?  It appears so because a couple families have asked to have the files of the child they hoped to adopt switched over to none other than AAC after hearing of the lack of integrity of CHI.  This is the sort of thing that just boils my blood.  Come on people, can't we work to find families for these children TOGETHER??????
