I am afraid to say we now have another donut fan in our house. On Thanksgiving (yes the donut shop was open) Daddy always goes to get donuts for breakfast. Ethan and Daddy head out to pick out all of our favorites while Madelaine and I get all the littles ready for their return. Even Hudson, who has Celiac's disease, gets a donut (gluten free) which we found our Kroger grocery store carries. It is a fun way to start our Thursday. Well, Princess was sitting in her high chair and was fussing at Madelaine so big sister gave in and let Carrington taste the chocolate icing on her donut. Carrington did her little taste test of smacking her lips together and then sticking her tongue out. Yes indeed the donut passed the test so then it was on to bigger and better. Just watch this!

Our daughter from Bulgaria at 2.5 yo was only eating smooth purees and a few mashed soft solids until one morning our family had donuts. Instead of craning away when we offered her some of it, she ate it and kept going. I am not ashamed to say that my little girl's first solid was a donut. Since then, she has expanded her solid food acceptance greatly. Thank goodness for sugary, deep-fried deliciousness.
Yay, Carrington! She's keeping her eyes on that donut! What a way to start Thanksgiving. :)
