Spring Is In Texas

Aside from the obvious change in weather, you can tell that spring has hit Texas in a grand way.  I left Texas to go see our boys in Bulgaria and the temperature was beginning to change for the warmer.  While I was gone the rain came and just brushed everything with vibrant colors.

My reason for posting about spring and all of the beauty here in Texas is because in about 2 more months I will be shut up indoors because it is too hot and humid outside to do anything, I will have 9 children and  myself getting cabin fever, and because I will need reminder that there is good things here in Texas.  Summer is supposed to be fun but the temperatures just get way out of control hot and the little ones would get sick in this heat.

Gentle breezes have been blowing making our daily walks so enjoyable.  One of Carrington's favorite things is to have the wind blow through her hair.  She gets so excited and turns her head towards the wind.

Then we have had some fun surprises inside as well when Mommy decided to make banana smoothies for everyone.  Let's just play a quick guessing game. Any guesses who was first and last to drink their smoothie?  EVELYN!!  This girl just loves food! And our biggest excitement came when Owen walked up to me and wanted some. He drank a little bit then just looked at me.  He must have liked it because he smiled and grabbed my hand to give him more.

I loved springtime in Texas. The bluebonnets are always so pretty! Don't miss the Texas summers, though. Although summers here in Florida are pretty uncomfortable too.
