Tonight Carrington is going to be a part of a news story that ABC Nightly News with Diane Sawyer has put together regarding orphans in Ukraine. We were contacted some time ago about Carrington and her story and asked if ABC could share this as part of an in depth story they were working on. The news followed one family on their journey to adopt their little one and have an important message to share with the world. Please watch and most importantly share the news of this story with any and everyone you know. The more the message is spread the faster we can find families for all the children. Carrington has deeply changed our lives: our perspective on what's important, our priorities both with our time and money, and deepened our faith in God and His mighty plan. Brian and I are not to be applauded or commended for adopting our children with special needs but instead we are to be seen as ones who finally chose to follow the path God has called us to. He never said the journey would be easy or "fun" every single moment but He knows the fulfillment being a parent can be and has called us to be the parent of ALL our children. We vowed as a family to not let Carrington's story, her battle, her years of abuse go without a purpose and that purpose we believe is to spread the word of the children who so desperately long for and need a family to love them and let them grow into wonderful creations of our God. Stay tuned and set your VCRs (ok so I still have one and yes I still use it) to ABC Nightly News with Diane Sawyer tonight, December 26, 2011 and be prepared to have your mind and heart called to action:)

sooooooo excited to see Carrington will be in this as well!!!!
is there any chance you can upload the story to youtube or some other upload service i'd love to see the article but being in australia we dont get american news much
I just figured out how I can respond to people who leave comments. WOW you can teach an old dog new tricks. Yes, Aussie I will post the video as soon as I can.
I still use my vcr too. it's built into the upstairs tv - which used to be able to plug into the car cigarette lighter, until it caught on fire once...we will watch!
I watched it, but I missed seeing Carrington. Wish I had read this blog earlier so I could have kept a watch for her
I saw Carrington's picture when they were showing about Reece's Rainbow =]] I was disappointed the news story was so short though! These orphans deserve much more airtime than 5 minutes. But then again, 5 minutes on national TV is so much better than none!
Yes we were a bit sad that it was only 5 minutes as well but then again it would take a lifetime to truly show what these children like Carrington go through. I am happy that the story did show a positive adoption with the Cox family. I did write to ABC about doing an additional story to this one.
