With no prior plans we had the great chance to meet a family who has prayed for our Carrington since she came home. It all started with a FB post from Carissa that she and her family were making their way through the DFW area and would like to meet. I could not pass this chance up so I messaged her and we made plans. We met up at Cracker Barrel and instantly our families just clicked. Carissa and I immediately began sharing our passion for orphans while her husband and mine chatted about law enforcement and other guy stuff but the cutest part of the whole night was watching Reagan playing and talking with Autumn and Tatum Lanning. I have to say those 2 girls are the sweetest little girls. As soon as we walked into the restaurant Tatum reached for Carrington and Autumn started talking to Reagan.
I think we were at the restaurant for just about 2 hours and it seemed like just a few minutes. By the time the night ended Brian and I felt we had just met another family we are happy to call friends. The Lanning girls are such sweet children and were so kind to my girls. How fun it is to meet those you have only known via emails and such. Thank you Lanning family for taking time out of your travels to hang out with us.
Carrington was having fun with Tatum and did not like me interrupting their fun to take a picture.
Reagan was so excited to talk with her new friends.
Autumn loved holding Carrington.
Carrington loved meeting Miss Carissa!
All of a sudden Carrington reached for Autumn and gave her a big hug!
What fun it was for us to finally meet!
